"In following with the theme of the weekly party series at Amnesia, the mix is called Cocoon Heroes, which the label says is not “a statement of self-adulation but rather a celebration of all Cocoon participantsùwhether they are behind the decks, the bar or, above all, on the dance floor.” As with previous editions, each DJ gets a disc to himself. Beyer, who’s booked to make one appearance at the party on June 25th, mostly sticks to his trademark style of streamlined techno, but adds a bit of a tech house twist with tracks by Tiger Stripes and Samuel Session. Paic, meanwhile, delivers a mix characteristic of his Raum… Musik imprint, packed with lean and punchy tracks by the likes of Sascha Dive, Daniel Bell and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts.
